FOREVER AND A DAY

Azure smiles as she bends to pick up a mandolin that lay hidden behind a tree, until this moment. She returns to her place and sits. Thoughtfully, the bard drops her hands to the mandolin and for a moment silence falls, like a cloak over the area. Then a crescendo of notes erupts from the mandolin as her deft fingers strike the strings and sweet music replaces the silence. Music weaves a certain magic and a vine, spinning in space, appears in the sky.

Azure recites:

There is no greater gift that I bring.
Than love's own tale which so brightly clings.
Hear me well, and list as truth clearly rings.
Through a lover's own words, the whole world might sing.

The golden-haired bard smiles wistfully as the music takes her mood. Violet eyes turn to gaze into yours and her song seems just for you, seeking to touch that part of your soul that cradles love. She merely plays her instrument for a few moments and the deep tones, ringing with magic, reaches out toward the vine. The illusion twists into the darkness then moves slowly in the sky, leaving bright trails of sparkling color where it has been.

Azure's begins to sing and her voice brings a sort of magic with it's rich sound.

Azure sings:

This is my vow, my solemn oath,
That when this hour is set and wrote,
With you only I will be,
And only your arms will my shelter be.

Watch thee now as the hawk flies so free,
So does this heart that beats for thee,
When this life is done, wait for me upon starlit skies,
For this love I hold so dear is a love that never dies.

I shall love thee always, forever and a day,
For in that day there shall be no demons left to slay,
Always and forever I will stay,
Bright in arms where love truly lays.

Beauty lies in love's grey grey eyes,
While laughter darkness defies,
And though forever is so far away,
In your arms it seems but a day.

Violet eyes rest gently upon you as Azure lays one hand gently against the strings of the mandolin, letting the notes drift into silence. Then she traces a rune into the air and golden rings appear within the sky. While a hawk flies into oblivion, the rings twist into each other and form a chain that weaves about the vine. Then music streams from the mandolin as Azure begins to play again.

Azure sings:

Join me now in this aged ritual that is a bond,
Seek my hand and hold it long,
For in that bond might I be free,
Life's true light forever will I sing.

Azure plays but the music becomes softer as your eyes travel upward to see that the rings and vine have truly bound, together they move through the stars, weaving a bright path with the colors.

Azure sings:

And this is my vow, my solemn oath,
In this life and beyond it will be the truest hold,
I shall love you, now and always...
Forever and a day.

You look upward to see that the vine and rings have caught all the stars within their path. Those stars twinkle amongst a ring of color, like diamonds in the ebony sky. Azure lays her hand against the mandolin's strings to silence them...and you hear her voice whisper upward as the illusions disappear..."Forever and a day."
